Important Information
The information below replaces that shown in the Cooling System section of
the Owner’s Handbook, RCL 0179ENG.
Anti-freeze
The anti-freeze content of the coolant
must be maintained between 50% and
60% all year round (not just in cold
conditions). To ensure that the
anti-corrosion properties of the coolant
are retained, the anti-freeze content
should be checked by your dealer once
a year (regardless of mileage).
The coolant should be completely
renewed every four years.
Coolant specification
For maximum corrosion prevention,
top-up using an ethylene glycol based
long-life antifreeze, incorporating silicate
based corrosion inhibitors. The anti-freeze
must NOT contain methanol or
phosphate corrosion inhibitors.
WARNING!
DO NOT use anti-freeze to any specification other than that indicated
above.
DO NOT add rust inhibitors or other additives to the coolant - these may
not be compatible with the coolant or engine components.
